Class Descriptions

1% Better - Group training circuit for all body workouts. Mixing resistance training with aerobics, for the best fat burning muscle gaining success!

AbDomination – Group Training with Jarrod $10/hour - Total Body & Cardio Training in a Tabata (timed intervals) setting. All moves require a focus on core engagement to maximize results and safety. Learn to use new types of equipment and dozens of new moves.

A.M. Stretch and Meditate – George leads this senior friendly stretch and meditation class.  An introduction to basic yoga poses and relaxation techniques. All ages and abilities welcome for this 90 minute session.

 

Aqua Zumba - Perfect For those looking to make a splash by adding a low-impact, high-energy aquatic exercise to their fitness routine. Aqua Zumba® blends the Zumba® philosophy with water resistance, for one pool party you shouldn’t miss! Benefits include there is less impact on your joints during an Aqua Zumba®class so you can really let loose. Water creates natural resistance, which means every step is more challenging and helps tone your muscles.

Basic Abs – Join Jarrod for this ½ hour introduction to your abs.   Learn to activate and strengthen your core!

 

Body Medicine - A corrective exercise approach to balance, core development, overall toning, and therapeutics. With a focus on connecting balance to core engagement. Also includes work with myofascial release and rotator cuff strengthening.

Boxing – Recreational boxing class with Giles.  Get that boxer’s body and the skills to go along with it!  All levels

Cycling - A fast paced challenging cardiovascular workout that incorporates high energy music that goes with the flow of the course. Burn a LOT of calories & fat while having a blast.

Defined – Group Training with Jarrod (10 for $120) - Muscle definition focused free weight and body weight training. Great group for long term commitment or just showing up a few times to learn some new moves and concepts. Free to try!

Extreme Fit - Boot camp circuits combining plyometrics, agility and cardiovascular fitness. HIGH INTENSITY

Equipment Orientation - Learn how to properly use the equipment and some great exercises to help you achieve your fitness goals!

Heated Power Yoga - This is a Power Vinyasa class that focuses on building strength, stamina, and flexibility. The room will be heated to around 90 degrees (less in the winter months) to assist in opening the body. This is not Hot Yoga however this class is recommended for athletes, someone with good body awareness, or the experienced yogi. Class length: 60 minutes  

Power Vinyasa is a series of vigorous postures intended to build muscle and allow deep stretching. We will follow a Vinyasa style flow where the movements of the body are connected to the breath giving you an opportunity to create a meditative rhythm in your practice. This class will have a quicker pace focusing on building heat! If you are looking to build more physical strength, endurance, and energy, or if you prefer a Vinyasa style practice, this is a great class for you!

Pilates  – Develop core strength while engaging your body’s “powerhouse”. Improve balance and stability through proper body alignment and increase your flexibility. Try Beginning Pilates, Pilates +, Classical Pilates.

Slow Vinyasa is a slower paced Vinyasa flow and is great for MOST ability levels. Postures are intended to build muscle and allow deep stretching. The slow rhythm allows the practitioner time to evaluate how and when a pose can be modified to move deeper into ones own unique shape without feeling rushed. If you like a Vinyasa practice, are looking to spend more time in your postures, enjoy learning alignment, and are looking to invite slow, deep breathing to your practice, this class is for you! 

STRONG by Zumba - STRONG by Zumba® combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves synced to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move. Every squat, every lunge, every burpee is driven by the music, helping you make it to that last rep, and maybe even five more. In a one-hour class you will burn calories while toning arms, legs, abs and glutes. Plyometric or explosive moves like high knees, burpees, and jumping jacks are interchanged with isometric moves like lunges, squats, and kickboxing. STRONG by Zumba® instructors change up the music and moves frequently to make sure you’re always challenged to the max.

Tai Chi / Qi Gong – Ancient Chinese arts that have been used for centuries for self defense as well as living a more peaceful, healthy life.  These classes will focus on the arts many health benefits & is intended to improve mental clarity, calm the mind, relieve stress, strengthen the legs, improve balance, & provide fun, simple exercise for all ages.

TRX Body Blast - Engage all your muscles with this non-stop, TRX workout.  Build overall strength, balance and flexibility for total-body workout.  All levels welcome!  Discover how to “Make Your Body Your Machine.” Jarrod’s version includes TRX Yoga work for a slightly higher challenge.

 

TRX Cardio Circuit Training – Challenge yourself with this fast-paced workout combo of TRX and cardio drills.  Timed sets will keep your heart rate pumping as you power through the reps at your own pace!  “Change the Way You Train!” Remember to reserve your spot at 8:00 am 1 day prior and 5:30 pm 1 evening prior to all TRX classes.

Yin Yoga is a slow paced, highly relaxing style of yoga where each pose is held for 2-5 minutes in order to target the deep connective tissue. This style of yoga is great for most levels and those looking to deepen stretches and increase flexibility.

Yoga – A Physical Practice – This class employs the coordination of breath and muscular action for a full body workout.  Class will focus on alignment, balance, and core strength with breath as the activating guide.  Healthy breathing promotes an open body and a flexible mind.

ZUMBA – It’s a PARTY!  Add some flavor to your workout with these Latin inspired, full of energy & attitude, cardio dance classes!  J.J. and Maggie, welcome all fitness levels to join in the fun!

CardioZone - Faster pace, shallow water workout using kicks, sweeps, water running, some combinations.

Deep Water - Low impact, deep water aqua aerobics using the Aqua Jogger belt for flotation. Great for non-swimmers! Healthy for joints! Heres the total body workout you need. Get ready to increase your range of motion, strength, and endurance!

Deep Water Cardio Zone - A beginning to intermediate level class ramped up a bit using resistance equipment. All ages and fitness levels are welcome!

Deep Water Progression Training - This class will be a combination of cardio, strength and body weight workouts. Mixing it up between circuit training, tabata training and core exercises.

Master Swim - Join Coach Julia Sierk for training, stroke development, and a motivating water workout!

Shallow Water- Water Aerobics is the performance of aerobic exercise in fairly shallow water. Done mostly vertically and without swimming typically in waist high water. All level welcome.

 

Water Tabata(Deep & Shallow) - Tabata training is a popular high intensity interval training format consisting of 20 seconds of all out intensity followed by 10 seconds of passive recovery.
